Day 6: Heidi

Here’s the last blog entry thingy majig from me. We’ve made it! I’m feeling hugely relieved, exhausted, pleased and excited for next year already.

Today was crazy – we started off in rain and ended in beautiful sunshine. We met a man who had cycled AROUND THE WORLD, twice and he still managed to be wowed by our adventures and earlier in the week we met a chap who was cycling the 3600 miles of the coast of the U.K. Aren’t humans cool?!
Arrived in Edinburgh to find that several thousand people had come out to welcome us! Had to push our bikes through crowds of people, I’d forgotten that the big flag was still on the back of my bike until the pole got caught on a market stall and then whipped back toward me via a mans face. A wheelchair bound man. 😩
Off to bed now so we can enjoy some more fringe entertainment tomorrow. Hugely proud of my incredible children and of course, Dave. X
